If you are looking to do something different and positive when it comes to buying gifts then you are on the right page…

Why not buy something really useful for someone needy out in Kenya? Many of us in the West find it really difficult to choose a suitable gift for others or to think of something we ourselves would like at Christmas or birthday time. Some people would love to stop sending hundreds of Christmas cards and instead send a gift to those in need. Amani UK is now offering the opportunity to do just this…

Choose your gift or gifts from the list below.

When you send in your gift order the money will be used to buy the selected item(s) out in Kenya. We will send you a greetings card as a thank you for your kindness. You may wish to send the card on to the person for whom you have bought the gift (if you are buying the gift for someone else).

To make the whole thing easy, why not use our ready-made Order Form (pdf format; 160 kB) which you can print out, complete, and post to us. Click here to open the Order Form now. Then click on the printer icon at the top of the browser window (but below the Address bar) to print out just the Order Form. Use your Back button to return to this page.

Alternatively, use the online basket here to select your gifts.

To ensure the total integrity of all donations the following system operates on the ground out in Kenya:

  • details of gifts are emailed to Kenya and decisions on group allocations are communicated to all those involved.
  • The money is transferred to Kenya.
  • The gifts are purchased.
  • The gifts are then presented by group gatherings attended by Community Board members and staff, invariably with the taking of photographs to record the ocassion.

By collective involvement and total transparency, integrity is assured together with much goodwill.

Thank you for your order and thank you for thinking of those in Kenya who will receive your gift.

Grateful widows receive a Gift for Kenya

If you are outside the UK then email us by clicking here to ask about means of payment other than a UK cheque.

"Buy a Gift for Kenya" is made available by Amani UK to provide a novel method for expressing gifts from one person to another. It is not intended to be a substitute for giving directly to the charity for use where the need is greatest.
