Christmas 2004 proved a time of really generous spirit and giving from the fellowships of St. Alkmund’s Church, Derby and Holy Trinity Church, Hazlemere. Rather than buying unnecessary gifts and cards in the UK, young and old alike gave generously towards special gifts for the widows and orphan groups in all three project areas: JAM, Kirongo, and UCCIP.

A total of four (4) sets of a donkey and cart were purchased, bringing not only the means of transport of water and produce to four (4) groups, but also a source of income. The donkey and cart can be used by the groups to provide a service to others and so generate income for the group.
