Here are some simple ideas/ titles for projects that could be undertaken between UK and Kenyan schools to get you started:
- Favourite/ local recipes;
- the view from my window;
- class questionnaires about common world issues;
- who we are? – what makes us British/ Kenyan?
- local geography – hills, rivers, vegetation etc.
- exploring our area;
- What is grown on our farms?
- Is Fair-Trade for flower, tea, and coffee growers a good idea?
- The seasons;
- local culture and traditions;
- the climate and weather;
- local wildlife;
- the sky at night;
- the history of our countries - sharing pasts;
- the politics of our countries;
- our art and crafts;
- our songs;
- where our food comes from;
- surveys on where we live;
- sharing futures;
- my favourite sport and team;
- my favourite pastime.
Remember:
Don't walk behind me, I may not lead.
Don't walk in front of me, I may not follow.
Just walk beside me and be my friend.
